Clint Elsasser is the Dean of Schools at Vanguard High School, Mesquite ISD’s newest high school opening in the fall of 2021. He has worked in the construction industry as a project manager and the educational field both as an instructor and administrator. The combination of Industry and educational experience gives Clint a unique skill-set to see education from a different perspective. His passion is to connect education and students to the latest trends and needs of industry by forging strong partnerships with industry and facilitating students to receive the skills and training to be the leaders of the future. Clint has a degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master’s degree in Education from Texas A&M University – Commerce.
Patrick Haney is the Assistant Dean of Instruction at Vanguard High School. He has worked as a campus instructional specialist and served as the district’s High School Science Facilitator and K-12 Science Coordinator. Patrick grew up in Mesquite, graduating from North Mesquite High School, and he is passionate about creating a world-class educational experience for the students of Vanguard High School. Patrick has a degree in Biochemistry and Genetics from Texas A&M University – College Station and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas – Arlington.
