The Experience at Vanguard

Vanguard High School is like no other campus within Mesquite ISD. Our students come from across the district and have made a choice to pursue a non-traditional high school experience with a more comprehensive career focus. We have four schools (technology, engineering, construction science and health science) within our campus giving students an opportunity to matriculate with a smaller cohort of classmates with similar passions and career goals.

Vanguard offers 16 different programs of study and students have the opportunity to earn multiple industry certifications, dual credit and complete valuable work-place internships.

We also believe our students should enjoy the full high school experience at Vanguard. While UIL athletics and fine arts programs are not available to our students, we offer a growing list of club activities from archery to powerlifting.

Launched in 2022, Dads & Difference Makers on Duty offers an opportunity for men related to our students or connected to our campus to volunteer and mentor our Vanguards. Email Lemond Fofang for more information.
