Programs of Study

The Architectural Design Program will prepare students to pursue careers in designing, planning, managing and maintaining structures, facilities and environments.

Students invest extended time in lab exercises, performing hands-on activities using vinyl cutters, milling machines and 3D printers to develop portfolios of work while earning a variety of industry-specific certifications.

The Construction Technology Program will prepare students with the necessary skills and processes related to residential and commercial construction.

Students will learn to use hand and power tools, specialized equipment and technology that will prepare them to enter the industry and/or continue their education in the field of construction sciences.

The Auto Collision program trains students in the art and science of restoring damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition.

Academic and technical classes combine automotive workplace knowledge and skills using an industry-standard facility on the campus and practicum sites such as Town East Ford and MISD Transportation Services.

The Automotive Technology program provides students the opportunity to learn the skills required to begin a successful career in the automotive repair industry. 

Students will learn to use the alignment computer, alignment racks and many other industry tools which will provide them with the skills required to begin a successful career in the automotive repair industry.

The Engineering program will expose students to various aspects of engineering and engineering design. 

Using equipment like CNC machines, laser cutters, 3D printers and Mastercam students will discover how to take an idea through a design process that could eventually be manufactured or produced.

This program of study is ideal for students who wish to explore how industries use robots and automated systems.

Basic programming skills will be used to complete projects and students will gain an understanding of programmable circuits through testing and maintenance of robots.

In the Firefighter Program students will learn the steps to prevent fires, act as emergency medical technicians (EMT) and investigate the causes of fires.

Students will practice with professional firefighters and have an opportunity to earn an associate of applied science degree from Dallas College.

The Emergency Medical Technician program provides a hands-on atmosphere to prepare students for the reality of a future career in emergency medicine. 

The goal of our Pharmacy Technician program is to introduce students to the principles and application of pharmacology. 

Phlebotomy students learn the how and why of applying, obtaining and interpreting an ECG on both simulated and real-world patients.

The Medical Assisting program trains students on how to support the work of physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and other health professionals in a clinic setting.

Students in the Therapy Occupations program will be introduced to treatment plans, counseling patients and rehabilitative programs that help restore daily living skills to persons with disabilities or developmental delays.

The dental assistant program will prepare students to support office operations, work in dental labs, or work under the supervision of a dentist who treats patients.
